    1. You are going to see either your squeeze page OR your thankyou page. Not both (AND).

    2. At most hosts you need to remove their default "placeholder" page (index....)

    Cache? When on site, try Ctrl+F5 (=hard refresh).

    If you uploaded your files to the right place (btw, public_html is a directory or folder, not a file!), i.e. where the host's default page was - you should see it.

    Sometimes, it can happen that your browser shows a cached view of an earlier version [see my first line above]; sometimes ISPs are cheating: showing cached content, not the real deal...

    ok .. did the hard refresh and i see the index page and the html pages are there .. so now i want to set up the page to where when someone goes to the site, they'll see the squeeze page , fill out the information and see my thank you page next .. both of the pages are there , however when i enter in a test email , i get the i guess the double opt in message ( stating that you would need to go to your email and click the link) i hope this makes sense .. again thanks istvan for your help

    HTML basics 101 & webmaster basics 101:

    - when a visitor arrives to a website's domain (example.com) the first page it sees MUST be named index.html or index.shtml or index.php or index.asp or... you got the idea
    (the host or you, depending on your account's settings, can define the exact order for the index pages with different extensions). For now, just rename your squeeze page index.html.
    ============

    Not knowing who is your AR provider, I am just guessing here: at most of them you can (and should!) have not only a "thankyou" page but also a "success" page, i.e. a page that is displayed when they click on the link in the email - when confirmed optin (=what you, wrongly, called double optin) is in effect.
    Flow:
    - squeeze page > fill out+submit
    - thankyou page: telling them to go and check email
    - success page = usually, THIS is a download page for freebies etc.

    In Aweber you set the thankyou page when making the form; and the success page URL should be entered in list settings ("Confirmation Success Page URL")
