I need help with creating a membership site

Hi.

As the title says, I need help with creating a membership site. I have already bought Profits Theme as well as the Fastmember plugin. I want to use these two together, but I don''t know how to integrate Fastmember into a Profits theme created membership site (not very secure) and/or a fastmember created mebership site (much more secure) with Profits theme.

Any help would be much appreciated. If possible give me a step by step guide.

  • Usually, if two gizmos doing the same thing (in this case a theme and a plugin: both for membership) are installed together... the result is that none of them will work or, best case scenario, only one will work.

    You are approaching this in the wrong way, sorry.
    For ANY task (WordPress or not) you need only ONE functional solution. Think it over: if you are NOT using the membership feature of the ProfitsTheme (PT)... why do you even need it? Just for the "look"? That can be done (imitate) with theme.
    Or for additional features? - If the latter, you should contact the support for Fastmember: they claim on their salespage that the plugin is compatible with PT.

      You are right. FM do claim that the plugin is compatible with PT. however they do not say in what way, nor do they give a tutorial either in pdf or video, on how to use the two (FM & PT) together.

      Yes, I just want to use PT for the look, and FM for the membership part, but what PT templates do I use on the inside?, how do I use those templates in conjuction with FM?, how do I make the membership menu appear using PT when PT do not recognize the membership levels created with FM.

      Both PT and FM are easy to use, but how do you make them work together. There HAS to be a way.

      Someone out there do know how to do it. The trick is to find that someone and ask him/her to help me.

    Yes they do claim that right on their home page....so why not ask them directly?

  • What you are using to make this??
    You are talking about plugin then you might be using the wordpress.
    If that then you can do that easily by doing further research work.
  • @Mlab. I did ask them directly. I am still waiting for the tutorial. more than a month now.

    @Artmacc. I do not want someone to do the install for me. I want someone that are willing to give me a step by step tutorial on how to use the Fastmember plugin and Profits theme together to create a multi level membership site.
