Help, google says my site is in Chinese

I am trying to find some information about how Google views & displays my web site.

When my site is displayed as a search result by Google it is listed as being bilingual in English/Chinese. I did once make a Chinese translation of my web site about 10 years ago... but that was long since deleted. I have no reference to anything Chinese on my web site yet the Google search results still show that Chinese thing.

Does anyone know where I can go or what to do in order to change this?

    I dont know, did you only just reload the website to Google. It could be down to Google not updating your data. I think their is a program where you can look at your website like google does. Should be able to find it quite easy in google. If thats not the problem it could be down to something in the program settings or maybe try a new Google ID. etc.

      Hi, 'm not sure if this wil help but here goes..

      Instert the language met tag between your website head tags. This should tell Google what language your website is. Also a revisit-after tag will ensure google refreshes your site regularly.

      Like this:

      <head>
      <meta name="language" content="EN"/>
      <meta name="revisit-after" content="7 days"/>
      </head>

      Hope this helps
