Dreamweaver???

Hi all,

2 questions really!

I have just about mastered Wordpress, adapting themes NOT making them!, and am looking for the next thing I should learn.

I know Dreamweaver used to be the bees knees years ago for making top notch websites but is it worthwhile learning it now?

I want to learn photoshop at one point and I am guessing it integrates really well with Dreamweaver so I might have a go at learning both.

If you where learning one Web Design tool would it be Dreamweaver? if not, what would it be?

Second question - how much should I be looking to pay for CS6 suite?? I am not a student so can't get the educational offer. also, can you still buy the CS5 suite (for less money!).

Any help on the questions really appreciated.

  • I used Dreamweaver when I first started designing websites over 10 years ago, I'd recommend it if you want to learn quickly. Like ronc0011 mentions above it will shorten your learning curve.

Nowadays, I no longer have the need for Dreamweaver as I write the code in notepad, however I fire it up sometimes to get some specific code generated.
  • The Dreamweaver application has attained it's good reputation for many good reasons. The main advantages of this program over numerous other on the market are ten-fold.
