i'm trying to redo my adsense ads on my site (theoprahfanclub.com) so that they blend in with the page more. The ads are showing more yellow than they need to and point out more. Is there a site that'll tell me the colors used on my main page? Or can anyone tell me the html color code for the main background color? thanks..

In the colour portion of adsense you can adjust the hex number. Just off set it to the colour you want.

    Here's the web safe yellow hex numbers FFFF00, FFFF33, FFFF66, FFFF99, FFFFCC

You can play with the last two digits or letters to get the colour you want.

"Web safe" colors doesn't mean anything any more. It has been years since colors needed to be "web safe" to be displayed on the internet. Personally, I just use the eyedropper tool in Photoshop, or the Colorzilla plugin for Firefox to find hex-codes.

Thanks, I did not know that this plugin existed and I love it. It is so much easier that taking a screenshot then opening it in illustrator then taking the color sample.

      • You can use CSS in order to change your colors of your pages, or easily go to your adsense account and change your color pallet on there to match your website colors.

I also use the eye dropper in my programs. I know that ya don't need the web safe colours anymore I just used it as a reference point.

Nattyware rocks. Or there are quite a few color wheel/ color picker freebies out there.

great little color matcher - point your cursor at a color with colorpixie open and it tell you what the code is in hex, html, etc

    Hi

I looks like your background is #ffffff which is white. I can't see any yellow on your site that has Adsense on it.
