Open Cart Questions

Just started looking at Open Cart. Several things I am not sure about.

Can it be integrated into an existing site or does it need to be built from the ground up on their system?

Can the homepage be done as more of an info page with text and a couple pics versus a selling page?

Can a blog be included on the site?

Is it integratable with Aweber?

Most important; is it easy enough even for a non-techie (no css, etc?)

    OpenCart is open source, so access to all the files is available - so what you're wanting to do can be done.

    No, OpenCart is not non-techie friendly. This is mainly due to their very small support community and inadequate documentation.

    Yes,you can customize open cart in a way you want.Only,if you programming knowledge otherwise you can hire someone to do this work for you.Admin Panel is quite easy!

    I suggest reading their Documentation where you will find the User guide, Requirements, Installation Steps, FAQ, etc. If this looks beyond you, then you may need someone to do this properly for you.

    1. Yes, it can be integrated into an existing site.
    2. Yes, it can be separate from homepage and blog.
    3. Yes, but if your going to use a blog and CMS (such as Wordpress.org) then there are alternative Cart plugins that will be slightly easier for you to figure out and setup. Such as, WP e-Commerce, and WooCommerce.
    4. No, it is a Shopping cart solution for your web site. But you can market your web site with Aweber.
    5. No, it is not easy to setup for a non-techie/developer.
