    Hi,

It's hard to understand what you're trying to do without specific examples. List the steps that you have taken and what should go where and it will be easy to tell you what to do.

I think I know what you are trying to do...

Go to your WP dashboard, click on "settings"
    Then click "reading"

The first option is what you want... Click the 2nd radio button "a static page"
Then choose the page you want for your home page from the drop down menu.

Click "save changes" and your good to go!

I think this will accomplish what you are wanting but just in case you can always determine your menu by creating one in Appearance --> Menus in your WordPress dashboard. Name the menu and save it. You can set the home page to be any url, then drag it over.

Of course if you do this you will need to create the other items you want on your menu for them to show up as well.
