Handing Over Your Website Requirements
I am wanting 3 websites designed, all pretty simple and in the same niche, in just plain HTML and CSS (no CMS). The most complicated aspect will be the HTML contact form linking to Google Docs!
I am wanting to keep the costs down as much as possible and am wondering what the best way of handing the project spec to the website designer will help in doing this?
What I mean is - if I provide the page layout, premade logo, optimized images and all the copy etc before handing it over will this keep costs down?
If so, how should I provide this?
In word documents (or PDF files) showing exactly how I want it with all the final copy etc included and notes on the side showing what headlines I want H1 etc and what I want the contact form to do etc???
I know a little HTML & CSS myself so should I start the site myself and hand it over with the copy etc already on the pages with it just needing tidied up? Or do designers prefer to start from scratch?
Any advice really appreciated
Cheers
