I have a wordpress site with a few optin boxes and I use aweber as my auto responder. I would like to send some of my potential customers a regular email (not auto responder) to communicate back and forth. How can I do this without it saying myemail@gmail.com?

I would like it to say support@mywebsite.com. Do I need to use aweber for this or can I some how do it though my wordpress dashboard and is there an easy way to integrate it with gmail? I just want it to look professional saying that it came from support@mywebsite.com

Thanks

Create support@mywebsite.com through cpanel or your hosting menu in your hosting account, then email those people from that account. You don't even need to set it up local, you can use webmail - but it will have to be through your hosting account.

That also makes it so that when someone replies to your email it actually goes somewhere - which is nice.

That's the easiest way - assuming the list you're emailing isn't giant.

Yep, just as RichKent said - you will need to set up an email through your hosting service for your website. I'd be happy to help if you aren't clear on how to do this.

Thanks a lot Elizabeth. That's very nice of you. I think I'm gona hit up host gator support to try and do this myself so I can figure it out. If it doesn't work out... you can probably expect a PM from me.

        Sounds good! PM me anytime.

HostGator support should point you in the right direction.

If you are using hostgator it's real simple. Just login to your Hostgator account Control Panel and scroll down the page to "Mail" section and click on "Email Accounts" then you can create any email /mailboxes you like. Once that is done all you need to do is setup your Outlook to get /receive your email. Whenever you register a domain name you own that name so when you get hosting for that domain you also have to set the name servers so all internet request for that domain name are directed to your hosting servers. This is also where the mail servers that answer to or handle any internet SMTP request are. So basically when you get hosting for a domain name it's going to come with mail server for that domain name that you should be able to administer i.e. create mail boxes or email accounts.

BTW Hostgator has great support and also plenty of documentation on how to setup your email. I use Hostgator and personally I think they're the best.

Got It! It was super easy. Went to cpanel, clicked setup email, and followed steps from there. I thought this would be way more complicated but its quite simple. Thanks everyone.

It would be nice if there's a plugin to manage e-mails directly from your wordpress dashboard... that would great!

If you're going to tell members to check your signature, this is what they'll see.
