Specific wordpress theme help

I have website phobia but I'm trying my best to figure something out. Does anyone know of a wordpress theme where the first post can be made a "sticky" so to speak and stays on the top while future posts are then added? Hopefully that makes sense.

Basically I would like my site to look like:

Welcome to my site

First post that always stays right here

Future posts underneath the first post.

Thanks!
Teresa

  • Hi Teresa

    I'm assuming you're using WordPress 2.7:

Open the post that you want to make "sticky" and look on the right side for "Visibility", beside this you should see an "Edit" link. Click the"Edit" link and you will get a list of options.

Within the options you will see a check box for "Stick this post to the front page". If you select this your post will become "sticky".

    Hope this helps.
