For my business website, which I'm going to renovate and reopen more than a year after closing it, I need some new photos and images. Does anyone know of any good free stock photo sites?

Not sure what kind of things your looking for Joel but I have always liked:

    freedigitalphotos.net/

You could always look into vectors if that's your sort of thing also.

I would recommend joining the War Room. A nice chap on there has shared a huge list of free stock sites that would be worth the joining fee alone. I cant share the list as it was made available to War Room members only.

I would love to join the War Room. Right now, though, I absolutely cannot spare the cash it takes to join. Seriously, things are that low for me at this time. My wife and I are not starving by any means, but we only have enough to keep the bills paid, gas in the car, and food on the table. That's it. My next paycheque might allow me to spare enough this time around, but I can't count on it. But believe me, as soon as I can do it, I'm there!

Its about $25 for lifetime membership.

The value is outstanding considering whats on offer in there.

As for the stock photos, Im a designer so went through $$$ buying from iStock etc before i found that post. The links in that guys post offer about 50 or so stock sites if i remember rightly, so its definitely worth it when you find the money.

Blue Vertigo is a neat horizontal directory style site. For other resources too.

iStockphoto is the biggest rip off on the internet. Photodune.net (enveto network of sites) sells nice stock photos for about $2 a pop. Much better than the "free selection" out there, and much more convient than paying $20 a pop at iStock.
