How to get Profits Theme landing page to pop up

when someone accesses the domain name. i dont want a permalink attached to it. i can't figure out how to fix this, can someone help. as it stands my domain name just sends me to a blank wordpress index with the profits theme logo at the top.

    To make sure I understand you, you just want "yoursitename.com", and not "yoursitename.com/wordpress" correct?

      Instead of a permalink for example:mysite dot com/permalink id rather have my landing page link to just mysite dot com
      Is redirecting the url the only way to do this or is this just complicating things more than they need to be.

    I believe redirecting or forwarding is the only way. That I know of at least.

    Maybe I'm not understanding the problem fully but can't you just go to Settings --> Reading and set your Front Page to a static page and choose your landing page in that drop down?
