Hello, how can i edit timthumb to work in webhosting safe mode(my webhost will not turn off safe mode)

i have searched the whole internet for a answer but i cannot find one that can work around this issue? eithier editing timthumb to work in safe mode or by making the themes not use timthumb nail and work on its own?
