Joomla 1.5 will reach its end of life this September. I think you should upgrade your site and start with Virtuemart. You can search on youtube for virtuemart tutorials. For example this video: Add Product Setup Configure Virtuemart 2.0 in Joomla 2.5 Part 3 - YouTube
