Cleaning tracking data out of images

A digital photo has coded stuff in it, like the serial number of the camera that took it etc normally and other tracking stuff. If you take a screen shot of a image, then save that screen shot as a new file, have you wiped out that other data effectively?

    While that might remove the meta data, it won't remove embedded watermarks.

      Hi Kirk, I am not worried about water marks, actually what I am referring to are my own images taken on my camera. I don't want to link my sites and I don't want people seeing personal shots on the net Thanks so much.
