Want to learn designing Wordpress site? Please guide me

Hy, I want to learn design sites on Wordpress platform. I know bit html and css from w3school. But I don't know where and how I will put them. I bough genesis framwork and customized my site. please take a look www. earnbyblog . com. But I want to learn

  • How to design Wordpress sites with Genesis framwork
  • From psd to wordpress
  • How and where to start.
  • Oh and which software I should use to design sites. Adobe Dreamweaver?

  • I have come across several online tutorial sites where you may learn about designing WordPress sites from Genesis Framework. Genesis Framework Tutorials is one of the better ones I came across. I would really appreciate it if my fellow designers can inform me whether this is a good site or not as per their experiences.

  • Digging into WordPress by Chris Coyier is a great book and definitely worth a read.

    It's everything you need to know in one place, I still often refer back to it.
  • I hope you already looked on Youtube and did some searches.

    Lynda is a pretty good paid resource, I've done some of their design lessons and always walked away having learned what I wanted to.

    • a good place to learn html is page tutor. hope this helps.
    • Indeed, I can confirm that. If you have the budget then lynda.com is a very good place to learn on a variety of subjects.
  • Download a good solid theme and "reverse-engineer" it to understand how it all works. Tweak and test and experiment and it will all make sense.

  • Starting with Dummies Book would be a good idea. And on some website you can download them for free. They give you basic to advanced information about the topic.
