Easy Video Player 2 vs. Simple Video Pro vs S3 Media Vault

I'm a buyer, and need some warriors help to make the buying decision.

Currently, I'm using Optimize Press for my main site/squeeze pages and using Flexx Theme Professional for my blog. I'm using Digital Access Pass (DAP) as well and now trying to decide on what to go with for video. I plan to host my video on AmazonS3 for the most part, although plan on doing some youtube for seo purposes. (I'd used EZS3 before, and didn't have any problem with it except despised the monthly fee. Otherwise, I liked the ease of use.)

I was almost totally sold on Easy Video Player 2 (EVP2), and then saw the recent release of Simple Video Pro (SVP). Of course I'm also not opposed to S3MediaVault (by the makers of DAP), although I believe that one limits my functionality, not making it easy for me to upload videos to AmazonS3, so it's not currently a top runner.

Would absolutely appreciate feedback from some of you that have used some or all of these options insofar as the differences and which you would go with if you were in my shoes.

Also, for those of you that might recommend SVP, any idea what the current price is for the "upsell" and it's actual real-world practicality?

Thanks so much!!

Jason

In my business I'm using OptimizePress, Easyvideo 2 & DAP. Absolutely match made in heaven. The three go together nicely. Just so you know EVP2 works in conjunctoin with AmazonS3. So all the videos I upload to EVP2 are hosted on AS3 automatically. All you need is an account with them and link it to your EVP2 account. Also not to mention all the extra bonus features EVP2 comes with. I got the commercial license so I can use my own Watermark image in the bootom corner of my videos.

If you invest in EVP2 you won't be making a mistake. It's definitely worth the money. Plus I've got Josh Bartlett as a friend on Facebook so if I had any problems I could always reach out to him easily. Even for suggestions of adding extra features to benefit my business.

    Hope this helped.

I agree with Manie. The Optimize Press / EVP 2 / DAP trio is a great match for the do-it-yourselfers. I personally use EVP 2 as my primary (99.99% of my videos are 'served' using EVP 2) video "software-of-choice" (SoC) and s2Member on my video production membership site. EVP 2 is incredibly easy to setup and even easier to use. Of all the "things" I've purchased for my company, EVP 2 (and previously EVP) was one of the BEST. Absolutely no regrets. I also love, love, love s2Member.

I also agree that you should opt for the commercial license for EVP 2. It gives you much more "personalization." Combine all of this with the EVP analytics and you have a POWER HOUSE!

One more thing. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I have a special going on for my video production membership site for Warriors. You won't find a better, and cheaper, way to get videos produced. It ends on the 5th. If interested, feel free to check it out here. Works great with EVP 2.
