Can Only See Newly Transferred Site Through Proxy

I posted another question a day or two ago, but now i'm having a similar/different problem.

Long story short, I transferred hosts two days ago. I can't see my website, but other people can. However, I can see it when I use a proxy server. All my caches have been cleared, I've reset my router, and I've even downloaded a different browser. And I can't see it on the other computer in my house.

It's going on 48 hours since I've transferred to the new host.

Any ideas why I can't see the site (except through a proxy), but other people can???

    Hi,

    Your DNS servers probably haven't been updated (yet) for some reason.
    Try using Google's DNS servers just as a test (don't keep them indefinitely... I've found they're really not fast): 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
    You'll have to change your network settings for that. If this works then it's your ISP's DNS servers that are not up to date.

      I'm not gonna blow anything up if I change all that, am I...?? Well, no matter - guess there's only one way to find out...

          No it would not. kissing is the appropriate thing to do in such situations...

          yes, I've seen your other thread. I'm curious: what is your "new" address and your "old" address?
          By posting those to begin with, maybe we would have been able to help you sooner.
          But as some said elsewhere, probably the DNS took its sweet time to propagate ... which is unusual, usually 24h should be more than enough...
