Error when creating content or uploading new images..

I am working with a theme from AIT know as Guest House Theme. The problem is that I get an error 'Internal Server Error' when creating content, creating new categories or uploading new images.

I have installed the theme on another hosting account and it seems to work fine there.

Here are the hosting requirements of the theme;
  • PHP5 version
  • PHP5 GD library installed
  • Notices & Warnings are turned off
  • We also recommend mod_rewrite enabled
  • Memory limit set up at least 64MB
  • upload_max_filesize at least 10MB
  • Please also check that you have permissions to write to theme folder
Is the problem with the hosting or the theme itself?

  • Hi,

    Have you contacted your host?
What they say about above requirements , is their host as per listed
    requirments by the theme owners?

    • I have contacted them but their support services are very poor.

I am even thinking of moving to another hosting company but am trying to be optimistic that it will work out.
  • If they have live chat feature, as them to make modifications as per above requirements...
I am sure they can easily do that by editing php.ini configuration file to support those limits so your theme can work ok.

  • I think the theme is incompatible with that hosting. Probably configuration of the server causes it. Contact the host or choose anothr hosting.
  • Ask your host to make sure GD is enabled. It could be any number of things. GD & their memory limit are where the troubleshooting needs to start. You can also check the error log located in your public_html directory. It will be titled error_log
