Help Reviewing my Website

I'm currently in the process of working up ideas to re-design my website: More Control: UK Automation Distributor & Solutions Provider

While I have managed to increase the overall website traffic month in month out I am still getting a high bounce rate on the site.

I'm open all suggestions / comments / criticisms etc. Any feedback would be most appreciated to work up ideas for future development.

  • Hi, below are just my own opinions.
    First, I feel that your website is currently too wordy.
    I would also feel that having reviews/testimonials of your product would be more appealing to your potential buyers/clients.

  • To be honest, the design looks out of date.
    You should check some similar websites in your niche.

    If i have to point out some things i don't like, i would say
    - font, don't use the default Times New Roman, use Arial or maybe even embed Open Sans
    - implement your images better, add more style to it
    - as Bervyn said, your conversion would be better if you post some testimonials of your product.

  • Not bad, kind of generic looking. Doesn't really build a lot of trust from the consumer.

    • I agree it is very dated to be honest. Look at your competition and suss out a more modern design.

  • Thank all you for the input. In the engineering field about half of the competition websites are probably just as outdated as mine. Whereas the other half have a taken to moving ahead with a more seamless modern design/feel.

    I’ll take on board the testing idea as I’ve got an old spare website which is not active that I can experiment with for a new layout. Does anyone have any suggestions template sites where I can pull ideas from or a good practice check list guide to help improve web conversion?
