Hi there,

I'm using an Elegant Wordpress Theme and I'd like to get my zen cart to match my wordpress theme. What would be the best way you would recommend doing this? Do most "paid" wordpress themes including elegant themes and studio press have zen cart templates you can download too? My site template isn't that complex, id just like to make it match my zen cart. Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you for your time

Why Zencart? The problem is not so much that your theme is complex, its that Zen cart is complex. Do you really need all the features. I use cart66 as a wordpress plugin and for a few hundred items its great. more than that and you probably do need a bigger solution like Zen.

Any chance of talking you out of that cart?

I second Lchoate... Zendcart is a night mare.

give opencart a whirl, much easier to tamplate and making it look like wordpress is not all that hard if you know html/css

also recommend cart 66 for smaller stores, but not when you get into larger eCommerce sites.

Thanks for the input Lchoate, I'm not married to zen cart. A big reason why I went with Zen Cart is because how it's free and it was recommended to me by my customer. The shop will have around 100 -300 products, will cart 66 support that?

    Thanks buddy

Thanks buddy, is opencart free? This site I'm building is for a small business that makes picture frames and little nick nacks.

Cost is the biggest issue, it's gotta be cheap and I know there's tons out there that charge an arm and a leg.

Thanks guys! Yeah I may steer away from Zen Cart

The free version of cart66 can easily handle that.

Having always worked with Zencart, yes it can be a minefield to customize, so took advice above and had a look at Open Cart, me thinks i will be getting it on a spare domain and having a play around
