Hi all,
I use wordpress for blogging.

To promote affiliate products, even with Static page look, wordpress is difficult to customize to get a particular look.

what is your choice for clickbank products or CPA offers?
1. wordpress
2. xsitepro
3. dreamweaver
4. kompozer.

Waiting for your suggestions.

I'll use both html and wp. but when you say:

"...even with Static page look, wordpress is difficult to customize to get a particular look."

I used to think the same thing.

That was until I got inside wp themes and learned how they function.

if you want to see some stuff i've done shoot me an IM and I'll send you some links.

Wordpress works pretty well, you just have to do some experimenting. Pick the theme you like and work on modifying the files until you get what you want. The good thing is that once you figure out how one theme works, you will understand almost all the rest. This makes it a lot quicker to modify sites in the future.

Dreamweaver wins hands-down for editing html and php.

I'm a big believer in XSitePro for anyone who has not used site design software before. V2 has been designed from the ground up with affiliate marketers in mind so 99% of oll the tools you need are included with the program, plus some very nice templates & headers

Newbies will find Dreamweaver daunting, Komposer is easier & free but doesn't have the features so for my money i recommend Xsite.

I use wordpress. It's b**** to customize visually, unless you want to spend weeks tweaking theme's CSS and files to perfection.
Although it's unbeatable in terms of SEO, flexibility and how quickly you can put (decent) looking site on internet.
Tons of dynamic plugins written by worldwide audience - this cannot ever be beaten by any single-vendor product.

Yet - the bottom line is - how much money you make off the portal?
Crappy fully of hype 1-page salesletter page could make you more than perfectly designed flawless dynamic portal that attracts tons of lurkers and exactly zero customers.
So many of other factors are in play of course...

John Reese once said - "ugly sites sells" (was is Reese?) - that makes me stick with whatever works for me now.
Product for sale on ugly site is 1000 times better than nothing for sale on beautiful site "under construction".
