I would like an answer to this question please: what is the best WordPress theme for an image site or photography site?

    Well, there is no answer to any question that starts with "the best..." or "the most...". Period.

    Your needs and my needs might be similar but never the same, so "the best" will totally depend on the needs of that specific project. Which means what is the best for you might be crap for anybody else...

    Do you have a specific features/functionality list that you need for the website?
    If yes, did you check whether the required functionality is achieved by plugins or themes? (Or independent scripts)

    Throwing out the 'hey, what's the bestest...' BS will not generate helpful replies, only idiots pimping their own personal experience or products. And those posts are, usually, short-lived.
