I cant seem to figure this out. I don't know how to add pictures to my own site. I have visitors come to my site and post articles, include pictures, but I don't know how.

Can anyone give me a detailed account on how to upload and insert images using WYSIWYG, or direct me to a video that gives a clear understanding? I've searched Youtube but didn't see anything helpful.

Would you mind telling us what you are using for a WYSIWYG editor? Just about every application/CMS/program has one nowadays.

Not sure if this is the correct answer to your response, but when I am adding a picture to a page on my site I have to use WYSIWG to upload the picture.

When I click on the insert image button, a new window appears with the following information:

      Insert Image

      Choose File
      Image URL:
      Alternate Text

      Layout

      Width
      Height
      Border
      Alignment
      Horizontal Space
      Vertical Space

It also has a section that says select image and gives a list of images I have uploaded.

      Select Image:

Below the Select Image is the Submit button, Upload button and the Cancel button.

I have managed to upload images to WYSIWYG but not sure how to actually insert it on the page. Does it matter if it is a jpg, jpeg or png?

    1. You do NOT upload images to wysiwyg - you upload them to your host server.

    2. The real question was: what kind of CMS (content management system) are you using? What is the software your site is powered by? - E.g. is it Joomla or Drupal or WordPress or something-else?

Then your thread title should have been: How to add image in Joomla? - in that way members familar with that CMS would have known what you question was about and could have offered help.

Using a nonsense idiotic title will never help you to get the right answer...

Yeah always look for the icon at the top, that looks like maybe a landscape, hold your mouse over it and it should tell you what icon does, like "insert image". Then just click on icon and it will ask you for the image you want to import.

You need to make sure you upload image to your server also with ftp program and link it to the correct folder.

I use XSitePro and just insert image and click publish but I remember back in the day I took weeks to figure out uploading an image , that wee red cross image was my enemy.
