Definitely upload the video to Youtube. Add the squeezepage url right under the description box to the right. This will drive traffic from Youtube to your squeeze page.

Get the code from Youtube and put it on your squeeze page. You can change the code easily to not show other videos after it's finished. The video will then "show" on your squeeze page which is what you want.

The benefit of adding your video to Youtube is that other people will put your video on their content rich sites giving you exposure and signups.

The only time you don't want to put videos on Youtube is when the videos are being purchased for a profit and you don't want them all over the internet.

You can either host the videos yourself or on YouTube, YouTube is a better choice as Michael said - not only do you get to use the bandwidth of their industrial-strength servers, you also get exposure to your product and site via their enormous amount of traffic.

YouTube provides code to "embed" the video on your HTML page, it's contained in the"embed" box beside every video. Copy that code and paste it into your page at the desired position. Your video will now be embedded in your content.

If you're using the latest Camtasia I believe there is a wizard you can run when producing your video to optimize it for YouTube.

    Good luck with your site

You could convert your video to a .flv file and simply just add it to the code of your website and the vidoe will show up where you want to place it. Or YouTube, but why depend on Youtube all the time, but I guess it great because it will measure how many views your video gets. However, you don't see any of the "BigWigs" out there with YouTube videos on their squeeze pages. Either way is good, just depending on what you want to do and who will be viewing your squeeze page.

You can create a lower resoultions file with cyberlink power director and upload it, not just to youtube but also yahoo videos and google video.

then again, get the embed code with <example...youtube...>

and just paste back with html editor to your site.

There's an embed feature in youtube. You can use that to put the video in your site.

Or, if you don't want it to be in youtube, you can FTP your video to your site, then embed the video to your site. You can find <embed> tags over the internet. ^_^

You can embed your video after uploading the video through your ftp or uploading client & than you should embed it to show up on your page.

Save a temporary working copy of your video in DV-AVI format. Windows Movie Maker prefers to save as WMV, but if you look carefully, it can also save DV-AVI. This is crucial because the Riva FLV Encoder software can't read the latest versions of WMV directly. To save your movie in DV-AVI format, click "Save to My Computer" under "Finish Movie," pick a name for your movie, pick "Other settings" on the "Movie Setting" page, select "DV-AVI (NTSC)" or "DV-AVI (PAL)" from the pull-down list, and click "Next" to complete the process.

You can also upload videos to photobucket. Then you just cut and paste.. The video shows up on your site.

Alot of people are using Vimeo and Viddler to embed vids on their sites and I must say it does look classier than a stale YouTube video frame thing, whatever you'd call it. Though you can choose your colors (somewhat) a border or none, no related vids but well, check it out for yourself.

Using youtube is probably the quickest and easiest option, plus any views on your site can help boost your youtube views, therefore giving you better exposure on youtube, while in turn giving your website more exposure. It's a win win.

      Its easy New Life,

First upload your desired video in any video hosting site.
Such as Youtube, MegaVideo or in Google Video.

After finished uploading the hosting site will have the option to let you Embed your video to any of your website. Just copy the code and paste it in your site.

      And Viola!

Its best that you use the video from your hosting. This way the traffic you have will not be directed to other sites.

An important rule to remember for squeeze page: Do not have links that will drive your traffic away. As you may have paid for the traffic to come, why would you allow them to leave so easy?

Give them only one choice, to opt in or not.
Good advice. The other issue many people are not aware of is just how
unreliable YouTube delivery is. You won't notice on a wired broadband
connection but on slower connections free video hosts deliver choppy
video that starts and stops... and annoys prospects.

It is way easier to host on YouTube, and it also delivers a lower-quality
experience for your visitors. People will want to argue with me about
this and I say "let them" because you don't see marketing gurus using
free hosting - they use video hosting they can rely on and you should
consider doing so as well if you consider yourself a direct-response
      marketer.

It takes some effort to learn how to manage video hosting on your
own hosting account, but it is well worth the trouble if you are serious
about getting more leads and sales from your traffic.

Upload your video to YouTube. It's very popular video sharing site owned by Google.

Youtube will present various options. Choose the embed option and copy that code into your website. You're done!

I personally use amazon's s3 servers. Super cheap and you dont' run the risk of youtube or any othe site banning your content or shutting down your entire channel. Just a few weeks ago I watched a marketer put all his eggs in the youtube basket and in one fell swoop, he was shut down.

A couple hundred videos and countless content pages were toast. Due to a music copyright issue.

Anyway, S3 servers from amazon and Ezs3.com provides a rookie interface to create really nice players.

I read in another post that Amazon S3 is painfully slow in loading. Are you having problems with that?

Is there a reason to use ezs3 when you can use the Firefox addon called S3Fire?

Youtube is awesome if you want the "sharing" thing because its free and does the job, but sometimes you don't want certain videos all over the internet and only want them seen my your visitors. In that case you have to host them somewhere that costs you money. Are there any leak-free video hosts out there that are fast, reliable, cheap and do NOT have any logos, banners, or links to other sites?

Upload video to youtube or any other site like mediacafe, etc
    Get the embed URL
and paste it on your website.

If you are looking for some custom player to show your video, you must install ffmpeg on your server and buffer video on your own server.

Everyone say Youtube is so great... well... it is
But as I have found in my past experience some of my customers want to host the video on their own site.

If you would like to do that I recommend MPW Player for playing all MP3 and FLV - it's really cool - I did a job a few days ago and the client demanded for the player to be in company colors - MPW Player did the trick - and it's also very light. Google it on Sourceforge - it's opensource

Sure but you will still be dealing with leakage with the clickable Youtube logo link on every video. Youtube is totally cool but there are times its not appropriate to share certain videos with people outside your website. One video you wouldn't want on Youtube might be a little video on your optin confirmation page where you are basically telling your visitor to make sure they check their email and click on the confirmation link in it, for example. Other videos you don't want shared might be in a 'members only' area, etc.

Youtube would be PERFECT if they didn't have a clickable Youtube link on the video and if you could click the "private" button but it still could be seen on your own website.

Some great comments on the how to video stuff.

What about - if you want to put a video on your own site and
keep it private, for example, for your buyers only?

I created a mymovie.mov using iMovie HD (Mac) and ftp'ed
this to my site OK, but how best to embed it is the million
      dollar question.

How does one do this? (It's 50MB+)

      Thanks

Why not just put your members videos on a password protected page? I've read good things about simplecdn.com on this forum for hosting my non-youtube videos. I guess they are quite a bit less expensive than AmazonS3.

The best general approach is to convert to .FLV and upload in
that format. You can use LongTail Video | Home of the JW Player
to play it back - there are instructions on the site.

Youtube is the quick and cheapest way to go if you don't have the HTML skills.
Create an account, post the video, copy and past the embed code that is on the right side of the video into your html on your website.
