www or non-www? wat's best ?

Doesn't really matter. There is NO "best" or "worst".
FYI: it is obsolete, so you can go with non-www... (in other words: www is a remnant of the early days of the web: world wide web)

I have noticed that many websites can be both opened with "WWW" or without "www". For example, when you open Google, you can write both www.google dot com or google dot com. So, I think it doesnt matter whether you have www or not.

yes you can write both, but you will always get redirected to one or the other because that's how the DNS is setup.

All DNS usually have auto "www" redirects included. Personally I don't use them everyone knows it's the world wide web and not a fkn intranet. It makes no sense to continue using them in this day and age. in other words.... that's SOOOOO 1990's!

I'm going to put on my Mr Pedantic hat here and just correct you. DNS is not responsible and indeed it isn't possible to do a redirect at the DNS level.

Redirects occur at the webserver or HTML level.

It does't matter which one you choose.WWW or without WWW is not an issue, but without www url make shorter rather than with www.

As mentioned by Istvan, it does’t really matter which one you choose however you should pick one as your canonical URL or the URL that you tell search engines is the one to index. In the eyes of search engines, www and non-www are two different URL’s. Make sure you redirect one to the other (i.e. www to non-www or vis versa).

Think about it. Which looks better....

www.example.com

WOW.example.com

I prefer the second one. The "WOW" just jumps right out at you, doesn't it? It's just so much better.

Other times, I like to use uuuuuu instead of www. It means the same thing, right?

I prefer WTF.example.com myself, as it adds a certain level of "professionalism" to the site. You do want to come across as professional, don't you?

Initially I thought website having www would very effective. (My personal view). But after reading articles, blogs I came to know that having www or without www is doesn't matter now a days. Make sure your redirection should going to one page.
