Review my site please

Can someone please review my site i have recently started a E marketing website with my father who wants to start making money online he is elderly and has a great dream so i dove in with both feet but i am finding it hard to get started in i have the site built but i need some help and feedback to see if we are on the right track, what we could do better and please keep the comments helpful and not disrespectful i know we are just starting out we could really use some helpful advice thanks.

    i like the site. But it is not good putting excessive ad banner on the site when you are just starting.

    This is a great first start and I hope you and your father have lots of success with your business. I have a few suggestions.

    Logo and Font: If you are only going to have text as the logo for your site that is fine and a common web convention is to have the logo in the upper left hand corner of the site. Also link it to the home page.

    Main navigation: You have the right idea with the main navigation however you should organize it differently. Since you don’t have that many categories, you should spread the tools across the entire span of the menu area. Move privacy policy to a footer menu (many people almost never look at this and it is cumbersome to have on the main navigation of the site). When you move these menu items out of the sub-menu of “browse tools”, it will be easier to see what your site has to offer.

    Home page: I noticed that you land right on the featured tools page. The page itself is fine however you should create a home page that gives visitors and overview of what the site is about. Make the home page ad free or at least less ads than on other pages. Talk a little about the company and what it is you do. People like to have this answered before poking around a website and it is especially helpful to know that they are in the right place if they are there to buy tools.

    About us and contact us: You should develop these two common pages. You seem to have a compelling story about you and your father starting this site. Not only would this be great for potential customers to hear but it’s a chance to add more content to your site (search engines love content).

    I would also recommend getting some plugins for the Wordpress site. One of the greatest things about Wordpress is all the great plugins that can help accelerate your online marketing and site optimization.

    If you are going to get into developing your site any further, I highly recommend this book. It’s a quick read and offers some really valuable information on how to best lay out a web page so that its easy for people to use.

      Thanks very much for the response i will try to use your advice in helping us develop the site more. i have built websites before but when trying to understand how to design a site for SEO optimization it gets a little tricky.

        Your website look and feel suits the theme of your site, which is DIY tools. However as thecontentauthority mentioned, you should include more information about your business, and a story would definitely add a personal touch.

        Include more product information on your site as well. Even though the products link to amazon, people prefer to get as much info as they can at one glance, instead of constantly getting redirected and switching windows back and forth.

        Other than that, i think your site is rather straightforward and simple. It's good.
