What forum to use - WordPress & AWeber integration

Here's my current setup:

Popular Niche Blog (Wordpress)
Paid Membership area (Wordpress + Wishlist Member)
List management / email marketing (Aweber)

I want to add a good forum that's open to the public that integrates with WordPress and AWeber. This would allow me to get people signed up for free with the forum, market to them through AWeber, and seamlessly upgrade their existing WordPress/forum accounts to paid memberships upon payment at any time.

Any suggestions for forum software to do this?

    • If you want something simple VanillaForum was designed to integrate with wordpress on a variety of levels. You can imbed it with one line of code into any wordpress page and even set it up so that your users log in with their wordpress account.

  • I too am looking for this. I like simple press but I don't see a way to automatically add registrants to the aweber email list.

    • I ended up paying some guys on Odesk to do a vBulletin/Aweber integration. I wanted to do all sorts of cool stuff with the forum and VB seems to be the best / most robust.
  • So you never found one like simple press or bbpress that added new users to your email list?

    • Not sure if they do integrate with Aweber - the final deciding factor for me was that I needed a high-performance forum with all the cool social media plugins and other bells and whistles, especially some of the cool add ons from companies like DragonByteTech.

      No way I wanted to lose Aweber either, so getting somebody to code the integration for me has been the perfect solution.
