I was told a few weeks ago that there was a way to make an XML file that makes your site look like it has thousands of pages. Is this possible and if so does anyone know how?

    I can't even begin to comprehend why a fake xml file would be useful.

    Don't even bother. Fake sitemap XML files will only haunt you, because you'll start getting dozens if not hundreds of 404 errors when search engines try to crawl your site using the sitemap. Crawling errors can make your site's rankings tank faster than an anvil falling onto Wile E. Coyote's head (as a result of some bone-headed scheme to catch the Road Runner.)

    Okay, so maybe the above is not fully accurate, but still, it's just not a smart move. It's not smart to try to game Google or any other search engine, because chances are, you will lose in the end.
