The year 2013 is fast approaching and it is about time to talk about the Wordpress theme trends in 2013. Here are some of the things I guess coming (feel free to add some by replying):

1. Mobile friendly

Due to the rise of mobile devices, responsive themes will surely top the market soon.

2. CSS3 and HTML5

Geez, I have to learn those things too. They are still grey for me and I have to research more about them.

3. Easy to use and setup

People are becoming more and more busy these days and they don't like to buy themes that they have to setup for hours.

4. Please continue it, I know many of you are a lot better than me about this...

Thanks!

    4. More interactive sliders
    5. More plugin integration for already made templates
    6. More dummy content to be provided for ready to go web masters.

Another feature I like to see in themes and would like to see more is a drag and drop designed theme. For example, i think it is the bangkok press theme - this theme allows for great configurement.
Features that allow you to build a homepage be it a blog or a magazine themed setup.

The idea is to create a theme that is user friendly, has optimum and a variety of combinations, is visible perfectly on mobile, tablet, laptop and PC and finally one which has seo rich features and benefits too. All of these in the mix would certainly make one of the best themes around.

The theme should also include a higher integration with the social networks, particularly pinterest, which is quickly becoming the fastest growing social network.
