I need help installing phpBB3.

I am trying to set up my first PHPBB3 forum. I am sure I am doing something dumb.
please watch the short 3 minute video to see the details of the problem I am having. heres the video http://tinyurl.com/d2b73d

Ps: I did not put in a port number cause hostgator told me its the standard port (80 I think ) so I followed PHPBB advice and left it blank. The user or the Mysql database was given all permissions.

  • I had a look at the video, all the jumping around didn't help me but I think you are using the wrong username ...

    Try ... adding johnfrem_ at the beginning of your username so it reads...

    johnfrem_rydg187 (if I got the codes wrong... then change them accordingly...)

  • Thanks that was the problem I needed to use johnfrem_rydg187 instead of just rydg187.
