Harvey,

You are very talented. The site looks pretty good. I have some suggestions.

You may want to rethink your color scheme. The black background and light grey text is hard to read.

The mouseover effect with your images is cool but it looks better just having the images in color from the get go. The whole thing is just too dark and your images/text and other elements get lost. Its hard to know where or what to look at first.

I like your profile pic in the top right corner and how you are looking at your bio. I’m not sure if you did that intentionally or not but it is a good strategy to have an image of a person looking at what you want visitors to look at. Our eyes are naturally drawn to what the picture of the person is looking at.

Your navigation in the top right corner, same thing. It is too close to the background color and hard to see.

People who read my threads will always say I recommend this book and I do because it is short, to the point and it has a lot of common sense tips for web design and usability.

Don't Make Me Think: A Common Sense Approach to...
I highly recommend reading it.

You have a really great start here there are just those things that will help push your site to the next level.

All in all I think this looks slick but I'm kinda bothered how the size of objects are out of "sync". By that I mean for example the top bar is too wide, reaching outside the "mid-borders".

Not too sure if that made any sense.

All I can say is, "Bad Ass!!"

Looks great to me. I love the gray text on black and then the pops of color with the pictures when you mouse over. And you set your image to look at your bio didn't you?? Sly!!

The only thing I would change Harvey is the yellow color on some of the text in the right column. I would make it match the orange of your name under your photo. I think it will make it look more balanced. Or choose a color that co-exists with the orange better than the yellow.

I would also do one other thing...I would make the image in your logo a gray scale like the pictures and then when someone mouses over the color image comes alive.

Ok, I am sorry I misunderstood which site was your new one. Got it now!!

As I stated earlier on your old one....BA!! I really like the new one. What you do is more defined and understood and the colors are way more balanced. And I also like that there is actually more color like TheContentAuthority had mentioned.

I like the slight change in your logo. Instead of stretched out you bumped the word design down...great!! And I love the little blurb about night owl and bacon lover....shows some humor which I think is always good.

Mobile looks great!!

I say set it live!! You're ready to go!!

The only thing I would change is the "that will blow your mind wording" I like it but not the same on each skill you offer. Just have that for logo design than something different for mascot and web design. Like Mascot design that will make your eyes pop out and web design that will make you a celebrity or something like that...you know what I mean!! :p
