Dilema - which one to use

Hi,

*This is unrelated to my other post in the IM thread *

I am wanting to build a simple website for my elderly dad who sells poultry.

Stock levels fluctuate constantly and he is very computer illiterate so I'll be managing the I.T for him.

Where I live, there are no existing websites selling the poultry he does yet, based on google trends, there is high demand for it.

I am unsure of the web site design I should use to best capitalise on the market and whether to go e-commerce or simply have a contact form on the page + list builder.

Initially I wanted to get a simple template and edit that.
Thoughts ?

Set up the easy one first and then jump to complex one if the process is well. But, why don't you try split testing both by doing some polls of the people at your area that they would by it online or offline? I mean they would pay online or real cash in their opinion, so that would very important for your business growing. But, as you said, it will work well with just listing your products and have contact forms, opt-in form, comments forms, and some more interactived tools on the site!
    I think it will help!

I just wanna tell you that most of the links in the signature are trash and/or a trap to make you pay!

I would use Wordpress and have a contact form available so people can get in contact. Ensure that you get an appropriate domain name because that is the way people find you.
Just list the stock and allow people to contact you. I would keep it simple because a lot of people don't like complicated sites. I image that people would have to come and collect their chosen product.

Most people would go to Hostgator & Godaddy, but it depends on where do you live!
Choose the hosting provider which host your site on the server near you and your audience is the best choice. The same rule apply to domain name registrar.

Overall, IMO Godaddy, Namecheap, and many others registrar for domain name, and Hostgator for hosting.

I would suggest Namecheap for the domain and Hudson Valley Hosting for the hosting, they provide great service and great support. A simple wordpress website should work well enough to start at least.

For your country, I think Site5 Web Hosting - Free 30 Day Trial + Choose Your Location is the choice because they are well reputed and stay in this industry for a while. They have different locations, especially they have Australia, Singapore server location for you to choose.

You can choose Australia Location but it will added $5/month for the default price and added only $1/month on default price if you choose Singapore location.

It seems a bit more expensive but it 's worth to try!
