I apologise if this question is in the wrong place but I'm new to this.

Can anyone help? I would like to have a subscribe ox on my blog which gives the option to download a free ebook once I have their name. I can't find one anywhere. I have a wordpress blog. Can anyone help?

    A "box" in itself is worthless.
    You need some kind of script behind it that will collect the the email addresses (and names, if needed). It can be done with an autoresponder (AR) service, like aweber, getresponse etc. or with a script installed and running on your server. This latter one is not an option for you - based on your knowledge level.

    You may find some WordPress plugins that claim to do the job but I strongly suggest to disregard them - on long term they will cause you endless troubles with your host.

    You need to pay better attention, Istvan. The OP doesn't want a subscribe box, but a subscribe ox.
