How Do I Change My Hover Effect

Hi Guys
I own The Tech Journal - Tech, Blogging tips, Seo, Social Media And Gadgets
I've been working on the CSS for about 2 hours now, and i'm kinda stuck somewhere,
I want to change the Hover effect/Clicked tab(category you are viewing now) on the primary menu, i need the codes on how to do it,
The stuff i need is on fox news website
Obama won't go after marijuana use in Colorado, Washington state | Fox News

You can see how the polictics is highlighted over there.
Pleas help me out

That is not called the hover effect. Hover Effect is when you place the mouse over something before clicking it.

In the site you showed, Politics is the currently active Page. CMS like wordpress have a different class for 'current menu item'. You might wanna change their styles via CSS.

If you are talking about the primary menu, home, blogging, computers.....then the color of the menu is changing when its on that category page...
