Crowdfunding theme or plugin?

Hey Guys,

I have a client interested in building a Crowdfunding website. It will be built in WP and I have had a look at plugins and themes available for this. Before I go out and buy them, Does anyone have any recommendations as to which theme or plugin works better and is visually appealing over others??

  • Getting payment processor approval is going to be the biggest hurdle for any crowdfunding site. First, contact whomever you are going to use (PayPal, WePay, etc.) and make certain that they don't have any problem with your software interface.

    A lot of Wordpress plugins are less than secure and seldom updated by creators who get bored with them or find it to be an unprofitable product. These may not be approved & then you have wasted both time & money.

    A true crowdfunding platform has a complicated financial process and the software will not be cheap.
  • Never use a "premium" or whatever theme for serious business.

    Get something unique, it's just lame to use a premium theme (if you are NOT the developer lol) for a company that wants to do serrious business.
