Hey !

No, and no and no. I don't want you to review my website.

A suggestion or request to the moderators/bouncers/administrators of this forum.

Can we make a sub section for "website reviews" !?! Everytime I come here, I come across "review my website threads" where the OP asks for a website review, and then a series of "nonsense" like nice site i like it, good design but change logo, i like it, are posted, which really is nothing worth reading !

I am not against people who want a review of their websites. There are people who need guidance or support, but when you are asking for website review, not everyone can do it. I can't do it personally being in this business for around 5 years. You need to be a real PRO and yes PRO to do it.

I know this topic has been discussed here million times, but nothing has been done about it. I hope something is done about it this time, or else I keep ignoring them which I have been doing till now

Here here! I'll second the motion

"Website Design" and "Review my website" are distinct enough topics to merit separation. This forum risks turning into a website reviews forum unless these type posts are segregated into their own subforum.

I scan the list when I can in order to help people with real design questions. However, with so many "Review my site" type threads dominating the list, it can be a bit challenging to find those in need of real help.

It they were real reviews I'd say it was OK. But most of them are just idiotic one-liners
    (I like it.
    Nice job.
    Good site.)
... or posting crap like "you need a live chat", while having a link in sig to a live chat software - you got the idea

You guys should report every such post/reply by clicking the Report button and saying it is a SPAM. Because it is!

I was trying to get them banned altogether - read here. But as you know, there are others with more power and they didn't agree - read it here.

So I gave up fighting... When it is an obviously retarded individual digging up a week/month/year old thread just to add their "review" - those get deleted as soon as I see them. I also deleted obvious self-promotion, no matter who posted.

Just report every spammy nonsense post!

I am not asking to ban them. I don't have any issues with people wasting time answering questions with i like it, nice furniture, I am just asking to create a sub section for the forum.

According to Paul's comments in that link you posted, he mentioned some admin wrote "All things web design.". Website Review and Website Design is not same.

I don't understand what has Website Review got to do with what I have designed. I have designed a website, so I am a designer myself. Asking for website review shows that I am not "a designer" but a novice who doesn't know what he is upto.

Most of the "review my website" threads nowadays use Wordpress themes, free or paid, which means they have not EVEN designed the site. And if they are not so confident about the theme, then why did they install it in the first place.

Yes, If I want to know how to customize, or how to add stuff, I would consider that a legitimate question. But just installing a theme and heading over here to ask how does it look ?!?!?! Doesn't make sense to me.
