[Help] [WordPress] I can't set my search engine description

Hey guys I'm pretty new to this and just bought a theme, I'm using wordpress and I can't seem to find out how to set my Search Engine Description, it's using the starting of one of my articles. I do have a SEO-Plugin, but I don't think it's working due the to theme. With the theme I have I don't exactly have a "homepage" page, so I don't know what to do to set my description.
The theme I'm using is by WooThemes.

If anybody can, will you please help.

Which SEO plugin you are using. You need to fill up the meta description part for the search engine descriptions, and then submit a sitemap xml to google.

  I use All in One SEO Pack WordPress › All in One SEO Pack « WordPress Plugins. (Just discovered there is a special version for WooCommerce at WordPress › WooCommerce - All in One SEO Pack « WordPress Plugins.)
  
  It lets you define the title, description and keywords for each post or page separately when you create the post or page.
  
  The description you enter here is what shows up in the search engines.
  
  Under the general settings for the plugin (in the left column under Settings) you enter the home title, home description and home keywords.
  
  Even if you "don't exactly have a home page" you can enter generic details that apply to your site as a whole,
  
  If you don't fill out the details for the individual page or post, it then shows the home (i.e. overall site) details by default.
  
  As schwarzes says, submitting a sitemap to Google also helps, e.g. with the plugin Google XML Sitemaps WordPress › Google XML Sitemaps « WordPress Plugins
  
  If you have a Google account you can also add your site under Webmaster Tools http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en and ask Google to index it.
