wordpress squeeze page help!!

okay so I am setting up two wordpress squeeze pages for a client. I went into the file manager on one and deleted the old files under public_html then I went and installed wordpress and it went fine. Now today there is a 404 error on the url and when I try to login at the wp-admin login.

On the second one I deleted the old files went to install wordpress using fantastico which said it installed but had a bunch of error codes and now says a 404 error on that url as well.

any ideas??

  • It would be better if you post the urls as well. 404 error can mean anything. Is it a Wordpress page not found 404 error or Apache 404 error.

    DO NOT REMOVE the file named fantastico_fileslist.txt from the installation directory. It is used for uninstalling this application.
  • Did you try installing it manually ?

    If fantastico is creating those errors, I suggest you contact your host.

    And the URL you gave, there is nothing there. Wordpress is not installed there as well.
  • The easiest way to sort this out is to contact your hosting company. I did the same thing by contacting Hostgator via their live chat. They were able to resolve my problems within 5 minutes. So gather all your info and contact your hosting company. People forget that the hosting fees include the valuable support they get.
  • A manual install of WP is best I NEVER use fantastico
  • i did try a manual install also with no success but I will try and contact support thank you WF
