Hello fellow warriors,

I would be very grateful if you could help me figure out how can I get someone to become a member of my paid membership site (built with profits theme) when this person wants to pay through bank transfer and thus not going through paypal). How do I generate the user name and password for this person to log in?

ps when paying though paypal, profits theme automatically sends the person an email with the user name and password, but how can I generate the username and password for a member who is not going through the paypal route?

Many many thanks,

Jose

Generating username and password is very easy through you dashboard. You can also manage it through you MYSQL section of your site.

The OP did NOT ask for another membership plugin: his site is using Profits Theme (see the title) that already has built-in membership solution. He did not ask for suggestions for another membership solution.

Read the post: he was asking for a way to manually create "paid members" (if not going through Paypal).

And, finally, as charlso1 posted: wp-admin > Users > create new

Ah didn't read that part, but anyways I would rather use a plugin which has some credibility in the market rather than rely in a theme which is meant to make you "profits", this is the number 1 reason why most wso's are stolen and put on black hat sites :p

Well, everything ends up on BH sites, regardless how you are selling them. There will always be a "generous" bad guy who will share it after buying it. It happened to me, too...

As for the theme, I might be biased because I use it on one of my sites - but regardless of its name, it is a well done piece of work.

I can talk about the "piece of work" also but I'll just let it go...

            Hey warriors,

Many thanks to everyone for your help. This forum is awesome. Yes, I would prefer to find a way to do it else within Profits Theme or within wordpress' users management tab, which apparently is the way to go according to both charlso 1 and Istvan.

As for the other method suggested by charlso 1 (MYSQL section of my site) do you have any additional comment to this? would this be preferrable to using the wp's users management tab? If so, how should I do this, using cpanel, right?

            Thank you, thank you,

            Jose

              Hi!

Did you find the answer? I did a test today and it didn't integrate with my autoresponder, GetResponse plus I didn't get a notification with my username and password. ugh. So frustrating.

              Diane.
