Please Review My Site's Content - Web Hosting Information Site Done Differently

I think there needs to be a better website to provides information for people buying web hosting. At the moment, most of the sites available are driven by affiliate dollars and don't offer a whole lot of good advice.

I've started to create HostingRR.com and wanted to get some input from other people.

At the moment, I'm focused on shared hosting (the area where I see the most confusion among consumers). My article "Explanation of the Shared Hosting Industry" is the most important part of the site. I try to explain the distribution of resource use on shared servers along with the types and pros/cons of overselling.

A couple of random notes:

1.The list of recommended hosts is inadequate in its current form. One of the biggest problems is a lack of a very cheap host for basic low-traffic sites. After some testing I may or may not add DynaDot's basic hosting to the list.
2. At the moment the site has no affiliate links. I plan to keep it that way for now and maybe permanently.
3. The design of the site is not important to me at the moment, I'm more concerned about the content. Once I finish the content I will tweak the design.
4. The bar graph in my article should be changed to a line graph with shaded regions. I'll do that soon.

Here are my questions:
1. Do you think there is a need for a site like this?
2. Did I hit the mark with my article explanation of the shared hosting industry?
3. Any other thoughts?

Thanks for the help!

    Thanks for the feedback.

The rankings are based on a combination of my own experience with web hosts and an evaluation of other consumers' experiences (I hope to add an article to the website that'll expand on my method).

Feel free to PM me when you start offering that plan, and I'll take a look at it.

I don't have a formal process for people to submit their sites to be reviewed. There are two reasons for this (sorta:
    1. I want to give the best possible recommendations, which means that I would have to turn down most web hosting companies. I don't want to upset the owners of those companies.
    2. Evaluating web hosts who apply to me rather than web hosts that I observe to offer great service could degrade the quality of information on the website.

I do not know that I understand exactly what you mean or not
I think this site is good

You can work on the same site

It is difficult to find unbiased reviews of web hosting services, so, yes, your website could fill a need.

A pure black font color would improve readability of the text.

The reviews are succinct, and the layout of the site is clean and easily navigated.

Perhaps you could add more concrete information, e.g., location of servers, actual price ranges. Also, maybe say something about yourself, and why you are qualified to offer your advice.

Overall, though, I'd say you're off to a good start.

This is NOT a web content review subforum - it is a subforum to ask help with web design.
Even the web design "reviews" are a nightmare...
