Wordpress - How To Add Content To Multiple Posts At The Same Time?

I've searched quite a bit and can't seem to get an answer on this one.

I know you can use "bulk" actions to edit multiple posts and change the author, tags, categories, etc. But, is there a way to add new content to every post with a single action all at once?

For example, lets say I want to add a brief author bio or optin form at the end of every post on a Wordpress blog. Manually editing thousands of existing posts one by one would be, well ... frustrating.

Is there a plugin or function I can use to easily add a blurb to the end of each post automatically?

Any help here would be appreciated!

    • No, I just wanted the ability to quickly add either an author bio with a link to a squeeze page or a short squeeze itself to the bottom of each post. Just to test for reader response and effectiveness. Always testing and tinkering.

      But, you know, for bloggers who have avoided list building and have blogs with thousands of posts already, the ability to quickly insert a freebie offer at the end of each post could help to build their list quicker. At least, that's the hypothesis.

      Anyway, I think the plugins Istvan provided could do the job if they perform well and don't slow down load times. Thanks for trying to clarify things though. I probably wasn't as clear as I could have been.

      I think I'm just going to ask my Wordpress questions here first, instead of banging my head against a wall for 30 minutes...

  • I wouldn't really look for a plugin to do this... although it may exist.

    It is way easier to just modify the template file used for displaying the posts; e.g. the single.php file is used by WP to show... well, single posts (what is shown after clicking the title of a post).

    But here are the plugins:

    (it works with 3+)

    • Thanks, Istvan. I knew there had to be a simple answer. I believe I'll go with the plugin option for now on a test site, as I know very little about modifying the template files correctly.

      In any case, thank you for taking the time out to answer my question. You have been a big help whether you know it or not. Was seriously getting frustrated there for a moment...
