I like the design although the name suggests (to me) your trying to sell pedigree dog mating services or something similar.

I like the design a lot as well, but change the domain name mate, and that footer link and add some info in the footer as well (like the big sites)

It's visually make some senses to me but clearly state what it is for. You should add more sumarize about the purpose the the site.
