I'm going to take a chance here. I'd need some feedback about an affiliate website I created.

Mobilestore1.com | Your #1 Source For The Best Mobile Deals

Does it look okay?
Is it easy to use?
Any suggestions for improvement?
What's the best way to promote it?

Exactly what i think, too many products on front page. I suggest you show no more than 20 products on front page.

Plus add some category or widgets for featured products.

Change the title. Having a <title> that names the domain, and then having your tagline being "Your #1 Source For The Best Mobile Deals" seems a tad spammy.

Beyond that, tone down the red and remove the unnecessary blue bar at the top.

Also, pull this left side "Search Terms >>>>>>" in so it matches the lines of the rest of the page.

        So again:

        # Change title and Tagline
        # Replace the red with something less glaring.
        # Pull the Search Terms bit in
        # Scrap the useless blue bar at the top

And you should be good to go IMHO.

    Couple of pointers.

Putting aside the fact WF members might be a little more savvy at this, when I hit the site it struck me as looking almost legit but not quite. I've bought phones online before and I know trust was an issue for me, I stuck to authority sites that offered good deals and didn't look like I'd get screwed.

To improve that initial impression, pay someone $5 on fiverr to make you a logo or a bit more here on the forum. That alone can make a big difference.

When I originally read your tagline, I thought you were selling phone plans (obviously an incorrect assumption because you sell all sorts of good phone stuff, but to me 'phone deals' suggests a package, or more than just a phone).

That being said, are phones your biggest seller? I see the home page defaults to phones for sale. If I was looking for a phone plan, I might have been tempted to click away from your site before I saw your small menu at the top which made me realize you cover all mobile needs.

You might consider having some images on your front page which are links to the various sections of your site ie. Mobile Phones, Cell Plans, Accessories etc so it's more obvious that your site covers all bases. It would also make it cleaner, and easier navigation.

Last but not least, holy wall of text! I clicked through to the first few phones and the description has no paragraphs. This tilts the heck out of me and I would shut down any site that expects me to read that (short of a site offering a kidney...which I needed...urgently).

Solid start, and with some cosmetic changes you might find you keep eyeballs on your page, which is key to conversions.

By the way, the "wall of text" you see on the product pages comes from the Commission Junction product feed I'm using. The good news is that it gets updated automatically. The bad news - I can't change the text very easily. They send it to me with no HTML tags, unfortunately.

I think the site is a bit confusing. The logo should change to a more professional one and you should add some category.

Well, you need to hire a designer since it does not look very fine. I was seeing the site from my BB and when I tried to go a specific menu, it showed the information in a weird format. Some of the best tools you can use to promote this site are SENuke and UAW.

Your site is looking fine to me!
My only suggestion to you is to ad subscriber form!
It is always smart to build a list of subscribers. In that way you can always be connected to them providing them some cool deals, free stuff or just providing value.
People need to know, like and trust you in order to buy something from you.
Iwish you success with your site!

    I don't like...

Basically, I think it's stuck in the past. Take a look at current phone operator/dealer websites and bring your website up to the standard of theirs.

When a consumer visits that is the sort of website they are going to expect.

I would expect your bounce rate to particularly high on the current design. It has no direction, no focus.

I think you're running your site using Drupal? I don't have any experience with it whatsoever as all my sites run off Wordpress so can't really help in recommending a suitable theme etc.

But I really look to clean it up, make the home page LOOK LIKE a home page.

I know this all might seem harsh but I think it's better than people here on the WF tell you the truth about your site before you spend time getting traffic to it which I doubt will convert (again, I could be completely wrong).

Mobile Phones | Contract Phones | Cheap Mobile Phone Deals & SIMs

Check that out for ideas. It's CLEAR it's the home page. You see they have a slider up top - You could do something like this with special deals etc and then list your phones below as you have already.

It just needs something to define it as a homepage, especially if this is likely to be the entry point for the majority of visitors.

    Most has been said before.

New Logo, you have a good name with branding and a logo. Without it screams,
"I added a 1 to get this site, what I really wanted was MobileStore.com"

Too much red. Red text should be reserved for your discounted prices. Red elsewhere looks a little needy. And the prices, have them all appear in the same place in the box. It will clean up the noise a bit. The clutter it creates gives me that "will ship in 4-6 weeks from China", feeling.

Less on the front page. Save the front page for some of the big draws, pull them in and they will go looking for the rest.

All that said, you aren't more than a few tweaks off a really nice site. Well done.

Simple, i like it. However, you dont offer me enough trust. I can not see any information about who are you and why to buy from you in front page...I have no motivation to see more then one page.. Give me that motivation to surf on your site more then 20 seconds.

The logo isnt as good as it can be i suggest a more professional one, there are people on fivver that can do this for $5

There are alot of products on page 1 maybe put the top 10 best selling mobiles.

The Favicon .. is that the default drupal one ?

Other than that a good website in my opinion

    first impressions:

1- change the logo. It looks like a toy shop website logo... I'm being honest I hope to not sound rude or anything.

2- I would revise the grid to display the products and the usage of fonts, colors and sizes. It looks monotonous.

    good luck with your website!
