I currently have a wordpress site and I need to create one of those cool graphic filled sales pages. If I use one of those sales page creation sites like smartgraphiccreator.com to create my sales page, will I be able to simply upload that sales page to my wordpress site? Does the sales page end up as one big image file? Thank you.

Sales page doesn't end up with a big image file and you can easily upload your salespage to your wordpress site, its just like html pages uploading. but you might need some wordpress plugins for page to work well!

Once and for all (and for everybody) - you can upload ANYTHING next to your WP siteș they have nothing to do with each other. (Just do NOT name your salespage "index.php"!!!)

WordPress site are not that special as you may think: you can have a zillion folders and files next to it...

Istvan, I don't understand what you mean by "upload anything next to the wordpress site"? What does that mean "next to"?

He meant that you can have unlimited folders and files of different types & sizes next to all the other forlders and files in your YourWebsite.com/ directory. Wordpress has no limitations when it comes to the amount of folders & files you can have, the files' file types & their sizes.

So if you want to upload, for example, a regular HTML sales page in your YourWebsite.com/ directory, you can fine do that. But don't give same file types the same names as other files in the same folder.

But your host can have limitations.

I'm not tech savvy so I appreciate your patience. Why would I have to upload a sales page to a separate folder? Wouldn't I just create a separate page?

Also, so the sales page would be an image file if created on a sales page creation site?

You can fine do that too but don't give it the name index.html or index.php if you already have a index file and make sure your folders and files doesn't create a conflict with other folders & files with the same names & file types on the same level.

You say: "the sales page would be an image file". Well, then just upload your image file to a folder and redirect your visitors to it. For example: "http://YourSite.com/images/SalesLetter.png". Or have I misunderstood? Because you can't link it if you do in this way.

To link the image you have to show the image in HTML in a HTML file or something.

Why not put the sales page on the home page or index.html? After all, the homepage will be the sales page.

Now I see WHY we confused each other. You confused "Sales Letter" with "Sales Page". It's not common that the sales page is a image file, but it's common that the SALES LETTER is a image file yes. The only drawback by using a image file as a sales letter is that you won't rank for any content in the search engines. But you can fine do it.

If you for example take a look in the WSO forum, you'll see that the majority is using image files as sales letters.

Okay, yes I think you understand what I mean. Sorry for the confusion.

I agree with you about not being able to rank a sales letter as an image. Since I do want to rank my sales letter, how do you recommend I create my sales letter?

Also, what is the difference between a sales letter and sales page? Thank you.

If you want to rank your sales letter as content in the search engines, your content(text) have to be displayed as HTML, because it's that what the search engines crawl and rank as content.

A sales page is the page your sales letter/sales video is displayed on. For example "http://YourSalesPage.com/index.html" or "http://YourSite.com/SalesPage.html". A sales letter is a letter which is designed to persuade the reader to purchase a particular product or service.

WordPress show content as HTML. It's only the platform that uses PHP to make server calls and stuff like that, but it will always show content as HTML. So just write your sales letter in a post or page and it will be shown as HTML.
