Hi everyone. I just wanted to ask the WF community to review my site and offer suggestions to improve it.

All suggestions welcome! What do you like, what don't you like. I appreciate your time and input! Thanks.

It's a nice site. It looks cluttered. If there is a way you can put more space between left and right column, Maybe it would help with the cluttered look. I personally dont like the follow us twitter in header. I would replace with a phone number. Also page is a little slow, cause it has alot on it.

  • Planningengineer,

I agree with vjboc, you have way too much going on here. Its hard to read anything because there is so much text jammed together on the page. Try segmenting your content in to areas that are clearly delineated.

    Here are some other tips,

Hi, I think it's better if you try to use tables especially on the left side. Or you can use divisions so it would look more professional and so the reader would not be confused where to read next.

Take half the page and put it on a second page. Write up some keyword corresponding text with the page two page. Move your social media up to the top. . Get a video attention grabber on the page up tords the middle top. Remeber the attention span of the average visitor is 30 seconds so you need to grab people with both good text and media. Something moving is an eyegrabber. The front page is way to long. Colors are nice but the ratio of your left column running out of content down low versus the body of the page makes it very choppy looking.. Kill all the foooter stacks at the bottom and put those links in the side column to fill that empty space... Peace :-)

Hi, it`s a nice site but i would suggest using one more color there like #FF6633 , and the background should be a light gray like #FF6633 . Also your logo should be changed, the logo colors are a bit ...... and you can`t read it very well. And have some spacing between the logo and the edge of the header. The title in the header looks a bit misplaced, the slogan (if that`s what it is) should not be more visible than the logo.

        I thought so...

I am often telling this story for those that have ears to hear it:
Since my wife is a psychiatrist and I used to help her while studying for the specialty exam, I know hundreds times more about psychiatry than the average people. She, living with a "web guy" knows a thousands times more about computers, internet, web, even HTML & CSS and WordPress, of course, than most shrinks.

However, and this is important: we have an agreement according to which I don't consult her patients and she doesn't want to make websites. Not even for herself...

We both think that we should be very good in our own profession and hire experts for tasks that are above our head.

Well, to put it mildly, web design is way above your head
But I think you are an excellent planning engineer.

Overall look is nice but clattered, as some have already suggested. I am not a big fan of sidebar on the left side. It looks a bit awkward, but that's probably because all my sites have sidebar on the right and so I am use to it.

A bit less clatter and you have a professional looking site there, at least on first impression.

You may have separate table for each portion of your sidebar content and do not have to title each of them. Too many titles in the sidebar makes it appear crammed. Also make the main contnet slightly grayer. I find if the contnet is too dark it doesn't help with the crammed look. A less darker black would be better.

By the way, nice domain name.

Good color combo. But there is a lot to take in right from the start. I think that you are onto something though with this site and once you get it figured out, you will succeed.

It is good but you need to adjust the comment box (adjust width to fit in page) and use some divider between post so viewers can surf it easily.

I have suggestion and might 99% work for you but save original copy of style.css first somewhere for safety.

Now find class post-content in css file and change margin-bottom: 10px; to 30px save it and see if that's make difference.

Nice, clean and professional, I like it. I would only modify the font at the footer, personal I do not recommend italic fonts.

The paypal and western union logos in the footer looks stretched and ugly.

Also I don't like the Italic font in the whole footer , it has no point to me , but thats a personal opinion.

I'd also change the popup title "Subscribe for free" .. it is very boring and generic title , and it is confusing too , Subscribe to what exactly ? I'd add better catchy and encouraging title , like "Do you want a free gift" "I am offering free material"..etc , Design and ebook cover for the case study u r offering maybe..

I see you are using a stock image in the homepage banner..doesn't look professional IMO , better to take professional pic of yourself , maybe it will generate more trust than a picture of a random guy (I've seen this pic many times b4 btw)
