WEB DESIGN

Hello all, I am a new member to this forum. I have been reading postings on it for a while now and seems like it has a great and honest community.

When looking to sell any online digital product (ebook in this case), I have read in many places that it is better to have a clean site, and to not use dark backgrounds. My website is quite dark, and has some intricate designs.

Do you think this will make customers less likely to purchase the product?

The reason I have sort of tried to make the site a little darker is because the book is on the survival of deadly plagues, so I think it is fitting, but I always like to have a more artistic touch to things.

There is nothing wrong with darker background. If your topic related to the darker colors, it is not bad. But, as I see you site, the font colors is also dark.

honestly speaking, I don't bother reading the sentences; it's hurt my eyes. Therefore, these are my suggestions:

- Font should be brighter for easy reading as this is a sale page. You will lost conversions if the potential buyers not bother reading you details.
- You should increase the line height to make it easier to read.
- If possible, you should create a video demonstration because pictures worth thousand words how about videos? Millions!
- Try making more attractive graphics because you current images is not worth for buyers perspective.
- As above, CTA buttons should be more attrative a appealing.

Thankyou very much, I will see what I can do. And ya it is certainly a good idea to look into creating videos for both the pitch page as well as youtube to drive traffic.

It loads in about 3 seconds on my computer, could have something to do with location. The site is being hosted in Texas on the hostgator servers. I am considering having it hosted on japanese servers sometime in the future, as well as having the book translated into other languages later down the road.

But i think i have just about finished the design aspect of it, now gotta work on the SEO a little more.
