Suggest wordpress theme for a recipe site

One of my sites (food recipies, non-english), which runs from year 2006, has lots of different food recipies categories with subcategories (more than 50). The theme itself is very outdated (was build in late 2010) and is not seo optimized. I know it's a disastrous design, but as long as it gives me constant income with adsense I do not touch it. Yet.

Now I'd like to change to a new theme, which is:
1. SEO optimized (a must. sidebars called after content, h1,h2 tags, etc.)
2. Responsive (a must, 2013 is going to be mobile, right?)
3. Valid HTML 5 & CSS3 (a must)
4. Could fit A LOT of categories. Now there are more than 50 categories... I know, it's not efficient to have categories list THIS big, but that's how it historically grew up.
5. Light design. Preferably.

I'm tired of browsing foresthemes and other premium wordpress sites, but fail to find a design that would meet all my requirements. Maybe you could suggest any I should look into?

I would like to suggest to go for a customized solution as long as it gives you some business end of the day. Purchase a premium wp-theme with all of those technical aspects (responsive, valid html 5/css 3, etc.) and close to your preferred aesthetic requirement. Then hire a graphic person and mold it to meet your actual requirements.
In addition, I think there are not too much choice for a good recipe wp-theme (may be I am wrong, but I believe so).

I'd love to purchase a premium theme, but the problem is I can not find any which meets all requirements. Am I too strict for these reqs?

        Probably - YES.
Plus, you don't know WordPress, according to your "list". Because the number of categories and a theme have nothing to do with each other... Oh, and I have seen WP themes build way before 2010 and they are still very functional and OK. But they were done by pros

Get the free one that suits most of your needs, and make the rest of the modifications yourself, or hire someone. Your reqs are not strict.

    1. SEO optimized
Any good theme would qualify. Anyway, you still need to use an SEO plugin.

    2. Responsive
Any theme can be easily made responsive.

    3. Valid HTML 5 & CSS3
HTML5 and CSS3 might be an issue with existing themes. Get it custom made if it's crucial.

    4. Could fit A LOT of categories.
A theme can handle just any number of categories—be it 1 or 100.

    5. Light design.
Minimalism is the latest trend. You can find lots of them.

Most probably you have an idea of the design that you want but there is no existing theme that is close. By the way, I have a few hand-picked themes at SmartWebWorker.com that you might like.

    Good luck!

eh. Recipe theme ? What do you mean ?

I wonder why people look for recipe theme or industry based theme.

Guys and Gals ( if any ) a theme can be made an industry or sector specific theme by adding images and content.

All those themeforest themes out there which claim they are recipe sites, what do they have ? NOTHING. You cant use their images, its copyrighted, you have to buy them or get them made or use royalty free ones. So even if you buy those themes, you won't be able to use those images unless you purchase them from the source.

So without images, what is it ? Nothing just a theme as good as twenty ten theme

I'm not looking for specific recipe theme, I'm looking for a theme for my recipe site.
As I don't want to mess with lots of css & coding, that's why I want to buy a theme.

      It's non-english, non UK/USA site. sorry

p.s. Thank you ALL for your proposed themes. Since I'm not in a rush to change a site ASAP, I'll be glad if will continue to post your new links with theme ideas.
