Hi guys. I'm sure I saw a plugin that does this. But I can't find it.
Please point me in the right direction.

Function.

A different text widget is displayed in the Wordpress side bar dependent on category any post is made in.

This one lets you show and hide certain items in the side bar. I have used it and works good.
WordPress › Widget Context « WordPress Plugins

It allows you to choose what to show or hide on what pages etc, by using check boxes. Very easy to use.
