Hello all,

Can anyone recommend a book on CSS and a book on HTML? I have a pretty basic under standing of these languages just from tinkering, but want to develop a deeper understanding.

Any suggestions welcome.

You should check out Learn to code | Codecademy. Its not book but they have great tutorials. Trust me its worth looking at. Plus they also cover Javascript & PHP.

I've learned HTML&CSS by reading books.Works better for me than web or video tutorials.

By far the best book i've read so far is "HTML&CSS design and build websites" by JON DUCKETT
This book is really targeted at beginners without a technical background. Has a lot of pictures and the lessons are given in such a way that it doesn't seem gimmicky.
